Until Dawn will support up to 12 in multiplayer

Supermassive Games' upcoming horror title Until Dawn has a confirmed multiplayer mode for up to 12 players.

Update: An SCEE representative has spoken to VideoGamer.com and clarified that the 2-12 multiplayer mode listed in the press release was a mistake.

The game will be single-player only - which is a lot scarier. So that's a good thing.

Original Story:The multiplayer mode was confirmed on PlayStation Asia and will support between 2 - 12 players.

Until Dawn features eight friends trapped in a remote mountain cabin who could all croak it at any minute thanks to the choice mechanics and Butterfly-Effect interface, so how this will cater to 12 players in multiplayer is a little unclear at this point.

But we won't have to wait too long to find out, as Until Dawn will release for PS4 on August 25.

Don't forget to pre-order for an exclusive extra 25 minutes of gameplay.
