Say farewell to letterboxing thanks to new The Evil Within patch

The Evil Within has been patched with a much-requested feature.

The Evil Within gameplay is presented in a widescreen letterbox format reminiscent of cinema.

This results in a claustrophobic view that can make actually playing the game quite difficult, and while that was project lead Shinji Mikami's intent you don't have to like it.

If you certainly don't, install the latest patch and check out the options menu for the chance to disable letterboxing and go fullscreen.

The patch also rebalances Casual difficulty to make it easier. It's now available on all systems, according to the Bethesda Blog.
