Starbreeze has sold the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons IP to 505 Games

Starbreeze Studios has sold its Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons IP to the title's publisher, 505 Games.

The $500,000 deal includes the IP, trademarks and Internet domains.

"With Brothers we've created a strong and critically acclaimed IP, which we now feel can be best nurtured under a new owner," said said Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint in the press release.

"Going forward, we will continue development focused on expansive design, a concept proven with the Payday franchise. Brothers will continue to generate awe and admiration for the great storytelling standard Josef Fares set under 505 Games' watchful eye."

Fares has formed his own studio, Hazelight, and he and other members of the Brother team are working on a new title to be published by EA.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons has sold 800,000 copies since it was released in 2013, and is available on multiple platforms.
