Marvel vs Capcom: Origins to be pulled from PSN, Xbox Live next week

If you've yet to add this Capcom versus fighter to your collection, you'd better move fast.

Capcom is discontinuing Marvel vs Capcom: Origins on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

The Capcom Unity announcement of the news didn't offer an explanation, but given the nature of the product it's likely due to expired licensing, which are rarely worth renewing from a financial perspective.

If you already own the game before it is pulled you can continue to play as normal, but it won't be made available for sale any more.

You have until December 23 to grab the PSN version, and until December 31 to pick up the Xbox Live release.

A quite recent release, Marvel vs Capcom: Origins hit console networks in 2012 courtesy of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition developer Iron Galaxy, which went on to Darkstalkers Resurrection, Divekick and eventually ongoing support for Killer Instinct.
