GTA 5 PS4 grass vs Xbox One grass - Digital Foundry compares the outdoors

How does the grass look in GTA 5 on PlayStation 4? Better than on Xbox One apparently, despite Digital Foundry finding both systems are on equal footing when all was said and done.

According to the comparison post, the outdoors looks best on PS4 due to "the extent of the boost varies on a per-location level."

"In our first set of clips, we took the road north and explored the mountainside, finding no appreciable difference," reads the report. "However, spawning a chopper and flying onto the Vinewood hills, we discover plenty of areas where the results of the screenshot comparisons are borne out."

The articles goes on to say the reason for the better grass and foliage is due to PS4's larger GPU and higher fill-rate.

That being said, it was noted that it shouldn't "impact any purchasing decision" when deciding between the two platforms as "Xbox One is hardly barren and featureless in the affected locations."
