Xbox One owners don't have long to wait to try out Smite, the MOBA from Tribes: Ascend developer Hi-Rez Studios.

Smite is likely to arrive on Xbox One in the first half of 2015, Hi-Rez co-founder co-founder Todd Harris said in a video out of PAX Australia.

A closed beta will grace the console early in the year, he said.

Smite has already attracted over 5 million players on PC. Rather than create its own pantheon of characters, it draws on world mythology.

Thanks, Polygon.
