It looks like Sunset Overdrive has 8-player co-op

Monday, 9th June 2014 11:39 GMT By Dave Cook

Sunset Overdrive appears to have co-op play for up to eight people, according to a since-pulled listing on the Xbox One store.

The page below appeared on the Xbox One store before it was nuked. Luckily, MP1st capped it for all to see:

The text mentions a co-op mode called Chaos Squad, which sees player teaming up to tackle mutant enemies.

Microsoft hasn’t confirmed this yet, but its E3 2014 conference is kicking off tonight, so we may hear something on the matter. You can watch the show live here.

Meanwhile, you can check out this Sunset Overdrive city video, which shows how Insomniac Games crafted the setting of Sunset City to make it fun.

You can expect that. The reveal CG trailer showed 4 or 5 different characters. Also from the gameplay videos, the trail you leave behind you i think is for the other players to spot you in the mayhem with the NPCs.

This game just looks better and better every time I see it. Insomniac might be swaying my Xbone purchase sooner rather than later.

This game is only looking more awesome the more we see.

I love that a couple games are returning to that classic over-the-top stuff. I’ve been playing Max, Curse of the Brotherhood since it came out for free, and ended up having this conversation with my wife when I had a thought out loud:

“Oh yeah, she’s going to draw for me now until I get the upgrade”
    “Who is?”
“The old lady who lives in my marker.”
“I’ll never understand you and these games.”
