Halo Xbox One listed for October launch on WalMart site

Wednesday, 30th April 2014 10:07 GMT By Dave Cook

Halo 5 has been listed for shipping on October 1 by American retailer WalMart. Of course this is a Wednesday so it’s likely that it’s a place-holder listing, but oh what the hell…

The listing can be found here, and of course is not confirmed in the slightest.

However, it follows claims from this alleged insider that Halo 2: Anniversary will hit Xbox One on November 11. The same source stated that the Halo 5 beta will kick off in November, and that access will be granted to those who buy the anniversary remaster.

So, who’s telling porkies and who’s telling the truth here?

It might come this year, cuz in 2012 they snowed a teaser only while in 2013 they showed the gameplay. So probably the same thing gonna happen.

Halo Xbox One is still officially this year. Halo Xbox One Beta is reportedly in November.
In addition to that rumoured Halo 2 Anniversary game? Too much Halo if so.

Which means a certain Halo game is getting the boot into 2015 or a November/December launch, if this is true.

I don’t think Halo Xbox One was confirmed for this year, just “there will a game in the Halo franchise on Xbox One in 2014″ (if I remember correctly, it was something like “Halo’s journey on X1″).

“Rest assured your next Halo journey will begin in 2014.”

If that implies an “anniversary edition”which supposedly includes a Halo 5 beta is the next one, then technically they are correct. However that could be interpreted as Halo 5 or Halo subtitle. Thats just sneaky otherwise.

I feel like we should have seen something by now if Halo was coming soon, but maybe that’s their nuke for E3.

I am fairly done with Halo, but I am well aware it’s a system seller for many, and XB1s will begin leaving shelves fairly quickly when that game releases. The same will be true of Gears but that’s still at least 2 years away (if they want to make it right).
