The images above were posted by Everyeye.it which has since pulled the shots. However, several other sites now have them. Note that the developer is listed as Metro: Last Light’s 4A Games, with Deep Silver as publisher. Both companies have neither confirmed nor denied the shooter’s existence.

I hope this is legit. I was planning a second playthrough of Last Last, but now i think i’ll hold it off for this version when i get a PS4.

    Collection with DLCs, awesome.
Guess higher difficulty on sale would be awesome too.

Gladly would double-dip, but kind of cynical due to the date. (My personal rules for any news based at day before until a week after April 1st = bullshit unless proven otherwise)

Would be nice to get an updated version of Metro 2033 on PC, that game is still a mess when it comes to optimization on PC. Last Light was a total master piece though, its graphics were and still are some of the best visuals I have ever seen in a game.

If developers can’t get the XB1 to 1080p and the PS4 struggles to reach 60fps at 1080p and stay there.

I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt that either of these games will come in at 1080p and 60fps more like 30fps with a downgrade on the visuals. Maybe even 720p for XB1 and 900p for PS4.

These games use pretty heavy tessellation and large textures very doubtful the consoles will cope with it. However, Last Light did have an SSAA setting called “0.5x” which basically halved the resolution you set and up-scaled the image. It was a little blurry but with the right post process filters it could look good and get the consoles up to 1080p and 60fps.

I doubt 90% of console gamers even know tessellation when they see it, so I doubt it will have any good use for it.

Same with AA, they just don’t care apparently,

    Same with resolution…

Same with framerate, and with texture filtering and ambient occlusion etc etc…

    Wait, I’m seeing a pattern here o.o

Why do they even make upgraded versions if the customers apparently don’t care about them? I guess how hyped all those console gamers got about Tomb Raider showed they really DO care about graphics.

But still, they will make the textures sharper, apply a bit of aliasing, give the DLC for free, repackage it and people will eat that shit up, because that’s what they are trained to do.

    Love Metro though <3

disgusting. how about some original games instead of a port of last years game that won’t even be able to handle 1080/60fps?

@Panthro Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was a piece of shit. Completely fucked it up by changing lara’s face from this innocent, scared, and frightened girl who through struggle becomes a women throughout the game to a botox injected slut. That and its tressfx were simply awful on consoles.

Then again console gamers don’t care for graphics, or frame rate. Played Infamous SS on my mates PS4 the other day and its a fun game but damn that frame rate is insane. If it can’t handle a steady 60fps then cap it lower don’t unlock it and let it spike up and down all the time!

Bewilders me how people can play games where the frame rates are all over the place.
