Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been trademarked by Square Enix in Europe.

The trademark spans the usual computer games and entertainment sectors.

In October 2013, Eidos Montreal announced a new title in the works for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, stating it had dubbed its ongoing projects in the franchise as Deus Ex: Universe due to it being “an ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games.”

A week later, a casting call listing was looking to fill voice work for an “Illuminati Shadow Agent, who would infiltrate the Augmented Rights Coalition,” hinting at part of the plotline for a new Deus Ex game – without actually mentioning it.

The casting page was looking for an actor for the “Montreal-based gaming project” which let all to assume it was indeed for the series.

We’ll send a mail on the trademark listing.

  1. Edo

After what happened in Deus Ex Human Revolution that name for a sequel sounds proper to me.

Am I really the only one who hated the reboot with a vengeance?

Brain dead simple gameplay cloaked in shinies… what an ignominious end for a once high flying title.

  3. Altered Beast Reborn

You would probably be better off reading a book if you feel that way. It’s a video game. Making it needlessly complex would insure nothing but its total failure. You can’t make multimillion dollar games for niche audiences.
