Activision to pull all Guitar Hero & DJ Hero DLC offline on March 31

Guitar Hero, Band Hero and DJ Hero DLC will be pulled offline by publisher Activision on March 31.

It's yet another nail in the band simulation coffin. If you missed my making of Rock Band interview with Harmonix, you should check it out if you're a music game fan. It's all reflective and emotional and stuff.

The announcement was made on Activision's Facebook page, along with assurance that all previously-purchased DLC will still work after March 31, and that servers for all games will remain active.

The publisher issued its thanks to fans, and revealed an eleventh-hour sale on the content. Selected songs and track packs will be discounted by up to 50% ON PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii from today. The Guitar Hero iOS game is also on sale over on App Store.
