Freedom Wars dated for PS Vita in Japan, no online multiplayer at launch

Freedom Wars has been dated for PS Vita in Japan by Sony, along with confirmation that online multiplayer will not be available at launch.

It follows our large gallery of Freedom Wars screens, that show off character and companion customisation options, battles and more.

The release date comes from the pages of Famitsu, which pegs the game for a June 26 release at ¥6,264 for physical copies, and ¥5,184 for a digital download.

Sony confirmed that the first wave of physical copies would also include DLC codes for the RPG's 'Formal Wear' outfit, along with great sword and rocket launcher weapons.

It'll also launch with Story, Free Volunteer, 4-Player (local) and City-State War modes, but will feature no online multiplayer to begin with.

A future update will bring the game online however, adding Infrastructure online multiplayer, 8-Player Multiplayer and PvP modes into the mix, as well as more new content.

The game's second update will add a new mode called Ideology War, but details are thin for now.
