Freedom Wars - City-State War Mode detailed, video showcases voice customization system

Freedom Wars details on the City-State War Mode has been announced alongside first-run bonuses. There's also a new video showcasing the accessory voice customization system.

Those who purchase first-run copies will be handed the “Formal Wear” costume, the “AAW-M2″ sword and a “TB-32/H” rocket launcher. It will also include a decal set, and a battle item pack full of recovery items.

In City-Star War Mode, players will start at one of the 47 territories choosing one Panopticon, which can "demand restricted resources in every region, and invade Panopticons of other regions," according to Gematsu.

Players will battle other convicts in the game and must make tactical choices when it comes to weaponry used in each battle.

Resources will be awarded with victory and can be used to upgrade the player's Panopticon.

Upon release the game will include the modes Story and Free Volunteer, along with ad-hoc four-player co-op, and City-Star War modes.

After launch, the first update will add a new Volunteer Missions, online play, eight-player support, and PvP. A second update will include an Ideology War mode.

Freedom Wars launches on PlayStation Vita in Japan on June 26.
