Unity to acquire mobile game service provider Applifier, integrate Everyplay into development platform

Unity Technologies has announced that it will acquire mobile game service provider Applifier, which will see the latter's Everyplay gaming replay sharing and community service integrated into the Unity development platform.

Everyplay provides players with the ability to record, share and discuss gameplay sessions and boasts a global community of over 6 million registered mobile players. The service is growing by over 1 million new users each month with millions of shared replays from hundreds of integrated games on iOS and Android.

The social game service will be integrated into Unity and will continue to offer its SDKs outside of Unity products.

The acquisition also brings GameAds, a free cross-promotion video advertising network, will also be integrated into Unity Cloud. The service is used by game publishers to find engaged users and to monetize non-paying users with video ads.

The GameAds video ad network and Everyplay gaming community will work side by side in Unity Cloud and its upcoming cross-promotion network.
