Things like this tell me VG247 is getting popular quickly.

Going to pass on this one. Wildstar seemed like it had some charm, even though it just turned out to pretty much be WoW 1.5, but this? I don’t know… so generic.

You won the PS Vita competition btw? Can’t find that article and the search function is broken as hell.

Will you be saving the email? Sharing it? Or using it for other purposes than mail beta keys?

This is sweet I hope to get in and check it out. I have a question I was over on NCSoft, is VG247 going to be doing beta keys for WildStar this weekend as well? Or have those keys already been given?

Is this game really as bad as it looks? Awful animations. PvP looked attractive – the sieges etc but it will end up like GW2 when people leave – smaller scale battles taking longer to do.

Wildstar I am almost sold on but after seeing Angry Joes video on beta I was shocked at how poor the starting area was. Collecting books…wtf?! PvP and some of the classes like Settle interest me so come on VG247 lets have a beta for Wildstar too.

Played on the “open stresstest” for about 1.5 hours, got bored to hell and deleted.
no way in hell this game is worth 60$+15$ monthly and you don`t even get all the content (imperial edition bullshit)

If PvP is all you care about, you won’t like either Wildstar or TESO. Wildstar seems very spammy with the skills, so you’ll have red telegraphs showing up nearly constantly on the ground.

Stick to GW2/WoW/SWTOR for pure pvp.

@Hcw87 What is WildStar PvP like? Honestly I hadn’t even thought to YouTube the PvP but I’ll try that now. What was your personal impressions as far as PvP?

    #13 10 months ago
  14. GrimRita

@12 no point with SWTOR pvp – they are just copying WoW with Arenas and probably smaller pvp battles due to lack of players and they haven’t a clue about class balance either.

GW2 is ok but pvp (not WvW) is also hit and miss. Wildstar just looked lots of fun with the arena battle I saw and of course War plots sound awesome.

I would recommend giving it a try, its a very enjoyable MMO.
Rather than write about how generic it is Wulf, why not get a key and try it yourself to see if thats the case.

Honestly, I haven’t met a single person who has enjoyed their time playing this… My friends and I have given it 2 chances, and both have ended up with us quitting within 2 hours. Its just plain boring, and attacks and hits in combat feel like they strike through enemies, instead of having a solid impact.

Wildstar has been a TON of fun… PVP is a lot of fun, Dungeons are VERY challenging, Adventures and Shiphands are great with friends, and the world is very interesting… That being said, the game is obviously still in its early stages, so remember that! Also, before judging the Wildstar beta, reach level 15.

Housing in Wildstar is VERY impressive also, and I didn’t think I would give 2 shits about it… I am very excited for the game now.

Wildstar sure is the complete package as far as content goes, as it should be as a subscription MMO. I will still check out ESO though (Allready bought the Imperial edition, that’s some expensive shit but what the hell). The Elder Scrolls universe is just too awesome to pass up. And new subscription MMO releases are few and far between these days.

Haven’t played the PVP myself, just watched some videos and read some impressions on it. I enjoyed the PvE bit though, and i’m not too big of a PvP’er myself.

Site changes look much nicer & in many ways it is much better but I still miss the old design, mostly because of its familiarity.

Sooo? Any follow up? BTW the search function of this website is a catastrophe.

I liked the gameplay this time much more than before. Might be because I changed factions and weapons, or because I am getting more and more familiar with the look and feel of the game.

So, my hope was rising, that this game would be indeed a nice experience. Then my Redguard sword&board mercenary suddenly grew a hump of flaming spikes on his back. I had activated a freshly skilled armor “superpower”. I lost interest.

I am missing scabbards, arrows, the amazing ability of the game to let me find that arrow which I shot an missed some 20 game hours ago and to loot the things my slain enemies are actually wearing. Instead, I got ridiculous superpowers without explanation or story background and participate in the usual Diablo loot lottery. Sad.
