Nosgoth developer Psyonix has posted a full gameplay round of its Legacy of Kain multiplayer title. The footage shows a human city under siege and comes with plenty of commentary into classes, weapons and more.

I’m in the Nosgoth alpha now so you can expect some sort of write-up next week. Stay tuned.

What did you think of the footage?

This is… bad. The Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver franchise has NEVER been about multiplayer, so completely dropping the single player aspect of the franchise is a first mistake.

Then when it comes to the game itself, the camera moves too much (likely to cause headaches in the end) and it looks blatantly uninspired. It reminds me a lot of the Shadowrun multiplayer shooter that got released on 360 and PC: same problems, same disconnection with the source material.

The last problem comes with the development team and the censorship they establish on their forums, Facebook, etc.
Any critic or comment deemed “bad” is “magically” removed.
If you refuse to hear what the community has to say about an existing franchise, then don’t be surprised if the game tanks when it’s released…
