Borderlands 2’s next DLC, Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre, arrives with next week’s console update and just in time for Valentine’s Day.

IGN reports the pack arrives in North America on February 11, and will go for $3.

It’s the fourth Headhunter DLC, and as such, will include a unique head and skin for each character – providing you beat the boss with the appropriate vault hunter.

The story of Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre concerns the ongoing battle between the Hodunk and Zaford families, whom you may remember from the Clan War mission in the core game. A member of each family is to be married, and Moxxi charges the player with collecting the ingredient for a love potion to ensure it works out well. Borderlands fans may remember that this isn’t the first time Moxxi has taken centre-stage in a Valentine’s Day themed event.

That’s not all, though; Gearbox has also announced the fifth Headhunter pack, Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax, will release in April. It will be the last piece of DLC for the September 2012 title.

Borderlands 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and was recently confirmed as 2K Games’ best-selling release to date.

@ChunkyLover112: My girlfriend studies in another city and we happen to hang out on Pandora quite often. ;-)

@macronia: Cosmetic items aside, the only thing that is missing from the GotY edition are the Headhunter Packs.

The last real DLC was the best: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. Everything since has been these underwhelming bits of fluff for a few dollars. Not interested. So much for the oft-requested moonbase DLC.
