Sony Santa Monica moves from Santa Monica, begins recruitment drive

Sony Santa Monica Studio has moved office, and way from Santa Monica. It's unclear if the team will change its name as a result, but we do know that it's entered something of a recruitment drive as it charges into PS4 development.

Variety reports that the outfit has moved from its native Santa Monica, and has relocated five miles down the road at a new 20-acre site at Jefferson Boulevard, Playa Vista.

'Sony Playa Vista Studio.' Does that have the same ring?

Speaking with the site, Shannon Studstill, founder and head of Sony Santa Monica said of the switch, "We took some time to hone in on location. We love Santa Monica. It's been our home for over a decade."

Also, the team has entered into a recruitment drive, with various positions posted up on its shiny new homepage. We had a look to see if there were any details on whatever the team is working on - besides The Order: 1886 and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - but we didn't turn anything up.

Are you hopeful for a PS4 God of War game, or would you like the studio to do something new? Let us know below.
