Firefly Online, a multi-user strategic roleplaying game based on the television series, will finally be released during summer of 2014. The news comes from io9 which was given an exclusive look at the game in development at QMXi and Spark Plug Games. In it, players will captain a ship and recruit crew to facilitate trade with other users online and go on space missions. It will be released on Mac and PC. The game is also scheduled for an iOS and Android release. Thanks, GameFront.

Never seen the series but the movie was awesome. What set it apart from the rest was it’s sense of humour. Would recommend it to anyone interested in sci-fi flicks.

As for the game… Just hope it aint crap.

@2,3 Yes, sadly it got cancelled, but you should still watch it if you like sci-fi. The TV series is even better than the Serenity movie and the movie is a good conclusion to the series. I recommend it.

Even if your put off by the fact it ends after one season you should still give it a try, its a truly awesome TV series…

The movie serves as the conclusion so its not like you are missing out on the ‘ending’ or anything.
