Fable Anniversary rated R18+ in Australia due to Lost Chapters’ brothel

Fable Anniversary has received a higher classification than the original game due to some controversial additional content.

The Australian Classification Board awarded Fable Anniversary an R18+ rating for “sexual activity related to incentives and rewards”.

As the original Fable did not contain such content, and received an M rating back in 2004, PlayerAttack obtained the Board’s report to identify a troublesome addition: the Darkwood Bordello, added into the game with The Lost Chapters.

Within the bordello, there are two options which exceed guidelines for mA15+ rated content. The first is that male characters receive an in-game reward for soliciting the services of a number of prostitutes. The second is that characters can don a specific costume and “participate in the intimate act of love” with a specific NPC in exchange for in-game gold.

Fable Anniversary is due on Xbox 360 in early 2014.

Love Fable, almost regret selling my Xbox, but I live in hope it’ll get a PC release. Might take a while, though…

Fable 2 had some pretty explicit, though more implied, stuff. My character married a woman who got turned on by being attacked. Found this out when I tried to kill her (didn’t want to have to give her the home in a divorce)

Wow, that’s really messed up, now that I think about it. Not just the abuse loving npc, but the fact that spousal murder was a viable gameplay option to avoid divorce.

That is just crazy and backward to say that killing people for gold is ok and younger people can play that. But should you have implied sex (which is just a black screen in this one)then the game should get R18+ HAHA….stupid!
So they are saying: Killing = Ok Sex = Bad?

@4 You are hilarious, lol. Wasn’t there also a sword you had to get by taking a spouse to be sacrified at the evil people camp? (My brain wants to say Dark Brotherhood but that’s totally the wrong game)
