Metro: Last Light is now available on Linux, and all who own it through Steam will now have access to the PC, Mac and Linux versions. The game popped up on the Steam database for Linux back in August before it was later confirmed by Deep Silver. The game was released on Mac back in September. The game has also been confirmed to support Steam OS and the Steam Controller in the future.

This game is fantastic and looks absolutely stunning on PC. In fact, I’ve yet to see a better looking game.

I think this is great news. Love that it’s free across platforms as well. Although, I didn’t like the game much tbh (haven’t finished it though, think I’m about half way through). I have a thing with games that mainly take place in dark, indoor places for some reason :P It sure is beautiful though.

I imagine this should be benchmarked on SteamOS comparing frame rate/frame times to the Windows version– see if there’s any performance to be gained.
