Steam Autumn & Christmas sale dates leaked via internal email - report

Valve has reportedly sent a call for submissions email to developers regarding its Autumn and Christmas sales on Steam. Said email has reportedly leaked on Reddit and list the dated for both promotions.

Treat the leak as rumour for now, but this Reddit thread shows an email that was allegedly sent from Valve to an unnamed Russian developer regarding the sale process.

The email states, "The Steam Autumn Sale will run from Wednesday Nov 27 until Tuesday Dec 3. The Steam Holiday Sale will run from Thursday, December 19 until Thursday January 2. Please DO NOT make the dates of the sales public."

That has been ignored, if this leak is true.

Oner user had this to say, "Unfortunately to Valve and others, the screenshot is real and it is not a fake.
The screenshot was taken by a Russian developer who has a page on Steam Store (and whose game has been Greenlit some time ago). It was posted on a couple of forums. He also sent one of the copies to me (because I'm the chief editor of the Steam public page on VK.com so he wanted me to publish it)."

Check out the image above and decide for yourself if this is true or not. For us, the jury's out.

Thanks CyberMarco.
