It’s a bit of a no-brainer, but Microsoft has confirmed with Famitsu that the Xbox One will launch in Japan in 2014. The platform holder passed over Japan as a launch territory for its new console, which arrives in Europe, North America and other western territories in November this year. Microsoft has traditionally struggled to gain a foothold in Japan, but remains committed to trying; rival Sony has also chosen to delay the PS4’s Japanese launch into 2014.
