New James Pond to launch via Kickstarter in a week

Friday, 13th September 2013 06:08 GMT By Ewan Miller

If you grew up in the 90′s in Europe playing video games, there’s a fair chance you remember James Pond, a series of platformers stuffed full of bad Bond puns like “License to Spill” or “Leak and Let Die”. Gameware and the series’ original creator, Chris Sorrell are getting together to Kickstart another entry in the series, starting September 20. If you’re a fan, check out this awesomely edited video featuring Sorrell’s rationale after the break.

Is James Pond a game you guys have fond memories of? Are you excited to see it return?

Thanks, Destructoid.

These were pretty decent games on the Amiga from what I remember?!

Would be good to see them return…

Oh happy day! I have owned and enjoyed playing Robocod across numerous platforms. Depending on the actual pitch I may well support this.
Okay, now. How’s about a Loaded (Gremlin/Interplay…oh.) revival!

I got it for free on from a demo disc on the cover of PC Zone.

It was only supposed to be the first level, but if you put a cheat in, you could pretty much play the entire game.

Well, *that’s* a successfully funded Kickstarter project if ever there was one.
