Gearbox working on two new next-gen IPs, Borderlands 2 DLC tomorrow

During a PAX Prime 2013 panel, Borderlands and Aliens: Colonial Marines developer Gearbox confirmed it has two new projects on the go. Plus, pick up Borderlands 2's latest DLC pack from tomorrow.

Destructoid reports the developer mentioned the two new properties but gave no further details. Eurogamer has word that both properties are headed to next-gen consoles.

Beta access to one of the two games will be included in Gearbox's community day 2013 digital access pack; this pass will also include an HD livestream of the event, exclusive Borderlands 2 heads and skins, Homeworld HD and Homeworld Classic.

Gearbox's community day is schduled for September 14, and you can buy-in via its Twitch channel for $20.

Also during the panel, Gearbox announced the latest DLC for Borderlands 2, the $5 Digistruct Peak Challenge pack, fwill release on Tuesday September 3; that'll be Wednesday for those of us living in the future, and likely a few days later for those on a SCEE-managed branch of the PlayStation network.

The Ultimate Vault Hunter 2 pack also releases tomorrow and if you also own the first such upgrade you'll score some additional extras. It is not included in the Season Pass, which has now expired.

Finally, GameInformer reports Gearbox also announced a new line of Vault Hunter statues.
