Ubisoft inks deal with Hasbro to create console games based on the firm's IP

Ubisoft has announced it has signed a deal with Hasbro to create console games based on the board game creator's properties such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, and more.

The publisher will develop the games for current and next-gen consoles and along with the aforementioned titles, Battleship, and Cranium were also announced as part of the deal.

Electronic Arts was previously licensed to create games based on Hasbro's brands, and the last title it released since signing the agreement in 2007 was Family Game Night 4: The Game Show and Trivial Pursuit: Bet You Know It for Wii in 2011.

EA signed a deal with Hasbro last year, in which to develop mobile titles based on the IPs for the next four years.
