Tuesday, 6th August 2013 15:51 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Nintendo will host another Nintendo Direct session tomorrow, in which the firm will discuss upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS software for 2013.

The UK broadcast, hosted by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata, will mainly provide updates on software coming to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in the remaining year.

The new Nintendo Direct will be streamed from the Nintendo Direct website at 3pm UK/10 am EDT.

You can watch the UK version through the official website here, and the US version through here.

We’ll be sure to update you on all the happenings through Twitter, as well as bring you a full report after it closes.

    Nice! :)

Always good to have these running every month or so!

As long as Iwata doesn’t commit seppuku live…

Didn’t they say they have a surprise announcement for a 2013 game? Either way they need to announce a price drop and soon if they want to be competitive this holiday and this seems like the opportune time to do it.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Star Fox U announcement with the 2nd screen being used for the cockpit of the ship.

The 3DS price cut helped combat the Vita, but it also came with games.

I hope they can officially reduce the Premium model to £149 w/ Nintendoland.

That and a few new games announced would be nice. Also, the cross title promotions are a step in the right direction e.g: buy 3 get 1 free like the 3DS.

If they can announce a few new games and have the premium system at £149 and the normal one for £129, thats a good position to be in when ‘bracing’ themselves for next gen.

That means someone can pick up a Wii U & PS4 for the same price as an Xbone & Ryse for example. Thats a really good deal IMO.

There ALWAYS needs to be a second console option, and the Wii & Wii U fit that bill quite nicely.

I think Miyamoto said it was a ‘no go’ at the moment… :(

@6 When I bought my 3DS after the price drop the big games still hadn’t come out yet. Super Mario 3D Land was still a few months off and I was stuck playing Ocarina of Time 3D and DS games for a while. If Nintendo announced a new bundle with Nintendoland and Windwaker HD bundled in at a reduced price they could push a ton of units out then.

And the games seem to be rolling in now. You can do a holiday push with lower price + Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, Windwaker HD and Super Mario 3D World as exclusive releases. And you still have Call of Duty Ghosts on the console that won’t hurt console sales.

Should be interesting if they actually make a move.

If they price drop Wii U I hope they give us early adopters an Ambassador scheme like they did with 3DS.

Or a partial refund would be nicer! lol

If they shed a good 100usd off of the WiiU price, as a day on buyer, I wouldn’t feel bad. I would be happy that Nintendo is trying to move more systems. A healthier WiiU means a better investment for me and you at any price.

My guess: They’ll talk about Pikmin 3 first for a short time, then TW101 for most of the direct, then Mario & Luigi: Dream Team since that comes out soon, then they’ll give Mario Party 3DS an actual name, and finally more info on A Link Between Worlds.

Possible Crazy Surprise Twist: They say “Yeah we bought Atlus. Heres more Fire Emblem VS Shin Magami Tensei info. BYYYYYE!”
