The Bureau: XCOM Declassified tells the origin story of why aliens came to earth, and how they ruined our lives. VG247 was given exclusive hands-on with the opening part of the game. Video inside.

Turns out, the government have known about something odd going on for a while. Teddy Roosevelt was even somewhat concerned that, maybe, those pesky Soviets are up to something again.

Instead, it turns out that you, Agent Carter, happen to be in possession of something incredibly valuable to an alien race. You find all of this out when a officer comes knocking at your door and she decides to shoot you. You realize, then, that something is definitely not right.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is out on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on August 20 in the US and August 23 in the UK.
