2K Marin reallocates creative resources and confirms staff reductions

2K Marin, developers of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, has seen a round of staff reductions, 2K Games has confirmed.

Sources close to Polygon told the site those panning to join the San Francisco Bay-based office headed up by Rod Fergusson are the only ones "safe".

A 2K representative confirmed the staff reductions to Game Informer stating: "We can confirm staff reductions at 2K Marin. While these were difficult decisions, we regularly evaluate our development efforts and have decided to reallocate creative resources. Our goal to create world-class video game titles remains unchanged," the representative explained.

An exact number of those affected or "reallocated" has not been revealed.
