It is time. Interceptor and Apogee are ready to unleash the new Rise of the Triad on the world.

Rise of the Triad is due on July 31, the two companies announced today, and will sell for $15 through Apogee, Steam, GOG and Green Man Gaming, among others.

If you pre-order, you’ll receive immediate access to the Apogee Throwback Pack, which includes the original Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Extreme Rise of the Triad expansion pack, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold and Blake Stone: Planet Strike. This pack normally costs $10.

Here’s a new trailer, too:

Didn’t realise they were still making PS2 games :/

$15? Hm, might actually be worth checking out.

It looks kinda halfassed though. If you really need an old school fix, Painkiller and Hard Reset are rock solid.

Derp! Didn’t read that it was PC. *hangs head*

@3: Really don’t care about the entire Painkiller series and Hard Reset really need more variety in terms of enemies and weapons. Great art-direction though, wish they would’ve used it for a Deus Ex like game.

@5 But when why waste time on this? It’s basically the same thing with shoddier models and textures, judging from the video :P
