European retailers list PS4 for unconfirmed November 13 release

Thursday, 20th June 2013 17:06 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

European retailers Media Markt and Bol.com have PS4 down for a November 13 release. The information was posted on forums, apparently. As OPM notes, though, the date has not been announced by Sony so take it as a placeholder for now. If Media Markt had it down for November 13, it changed the placeholder date as it now lists it for December 31 – at least on the Austrian end. Screencaps are below.

Amazon has had it listed Dec 31 too, but when you pre-order it says delivered by dec 6th, but being prime member mine said dec 2nd .. so go figure LOL…maybe in the next 6 months we will have a confirmed release date. I figure no one wants to pull the trigger yet and lock it down because no one wants to be in 2nd place for release date.

On a Wednesday? I’m going to go and say “Nope.” Be nice if it is out as soon as then though :)

When is Xbox One coming out? I think even days could make a difference in this case because the systems are way too close (Plus 100 buck difference won’t meant much to people who want a launch system, specially after the Xbox 180).

I know everything at GS releases on a Tuesday here in the states other than the Nintendo as they are Sunday. So its still up in the air I guess :P

Hmm, two retailers setting that date independently seems fishy.

November 13th as a place holder? That’s a little too specific to be a place holder O_o. If everything at GS releases on a tuesday in the U.S. then what if it releases on the 12th (if 13th is a wednesday) and on the 13th it releases in Europe. Hmm, interesting.
