“Wii U was made for Pikmin,” says Miyamoto

Wednesday, 12th June 2013 05:40 GMT By Brenna Hillier

In a video narrated by Shigeru Miyamoto, the designer discusses why the Wii U is such a perfect host for Pikmin 3, the long-awaited artificial life management sim.

The video shows off how the Wii U’s unique features are used; details changes to the game’s mechanics; and explains how damage carries over in the environment.

There’s plenty of gameplay footage to be seen in the eight minute video. Pikmin 3 is expected in July.

Thanks, NintendoLife.

@3 – It is depressing, though for me I’ve had many 360/3DS games to keep me occupied during the dry spell.

At least things will start to pick up after the release of Pikmin 3…
