ZombiU 2 is being prototyped as you read this, according to Ubisoft Montpelier’s creative director Jean-Philippe Caro.

Responding to a keen fan on Twitter, Caro wrote the following:

It follows comments made by the team back in January, that suggested co-op may be a feature in whatever the studio is working on now.

Would you like to see a ZombiU sequel made? How would you like to see it handled? Let us know below.

Cheers CVG.

It would have to be on Wii U of course and it can also be replicated on PS3 or PS4 (Using PS Vita) and Xbox360+720 (Smartglass)

I really hope this is a Wii U Exclusive.

It wouldn’t really work on PS4 or 720 as the smart glass / Vita combo would split the fanbase too much.

Zombie U was one of my highlights gaming in the last few years. Absolutly fantastic game and a Wii U exclusive sequel would be great.

I would like to see Paris as the next country choice, or UK again would be fun! :)

@5 so this will not work on anything else than the wii-utanic?… i suggest you stop sniffing your stinky socks down in your man cave.

Or it will be an incentive to invest in those extras…

They would just change interface like it was normal game , but still have same features on Wii U like in first game.

This game wouldn’t be the same on anything other then a WiiU. It just wouldn’t be the same experience. Part of the suspense is that you HAVE to take you eyes of of the screen and use the GamePad.

I could see that working for PS3/4 and VITA or even XB360/NXT with SmartGlass. The trouble with those is that not everyone that owns a PS3/4 also owns a VITA. Same with XB/Smartglass meaning that the game would have features that can’t be experienced by the entire demographic/audiance.

Every single WiiU owner has the GamePad.

And that is such a huge difference.

Yeah, put the game on the PS4, look at the market penetration of that system, much higher than the Wii U.

I am not saying it couldn’t be adapted to other systems, it clearly could. But I think the fundimental experience of playing it would change to the point that the game wouldn’t be the same.

On a related issue, I find it funny and sad that often times games on Nintendo platforms recieve love from gamers, and calls to be on other systems(Monster Hunter, Bayonetta, ZombiU, even Mario, Zelda) yet if people want those games….buy a WiiU(or 3DS). But my point is those games ARE on a Nintendo system. And peopel call for Nintendo to go software only, because they want to play Nintendo games…

Easy really, buy a Nintendo system. Nobody gets ticked at MS for not putting Halo, Forza, Gears or Fable on a Playstation. If you want any of those said games, buy a Xbox. Samething with Nintendo stuff. Want Bayonetta 2, buy a WiiU.

Wii U for all intents and purposes is current gen, developers have stated this and next generation engines isn’t being worked on with Wii U in mind, the Wii U should be compared to PS3 and Xbox360 not PS4 or Xbox720 and the market on PS4 or Xbox720 is the audience for games like these.

@11 the reason people don’t cry at sony or m$ to port their games over to nintendo is because the majority of gamers don’t own a wii-u (infact the majority of everybody doesn’t) and it annoys us to see decent games not get a chance to get the exposure they could benefit from by being on such a poor console.

I’m not saying your choice of a wii-u is wrong, but what i am saying is, nintendo haven’t opened their eyes to the failures of their consoles (some would say M$ had their xbone eyes forced open), also don’t think i’m excluding sony because my preference is sony, they also have their issues, for example the unbelieveably shocking state of the online store and pricing structure.

But i do feel the wii-u is where possibly interesting franchises go to die, just look at how many “exclusives” the wii-u has lost, talks of bayonetta 2 and zombi-u coming to ps3/4 and 360, also the deus ex extended edition wii-u exclusive has been announced for ps3 now, aswell as EA refusing to allow their games to be wii-u exclusive anymore
