Wii U error strikes Japanese consoles

Japanese Wii U owners have reported an issue which not only blocks them from accessing the eShop, it keeps them applying firmware updates. According to Kotaku's translation of a Nintendo Japan support article, a patch should release this weekend, which will clear the way for Dragon Quest X beta testers currently unable to download the RPG's client.
