Hideo Kojima “interested” in new types of “interactions” with PS4
Hideo Kojima has said he is interested in PS4′s ability to offer a “new type of interaction” between gamers and the games they play.

Speaking with IGN regarding the PS4 reveal, Kojima said visual fidelity and better hardware was a “given” with any new console, and that he is more interested in is gamers being able to interact with developer offerings through various devices and media.
“I can say that with every new generation of hardware the capabilities of the hardware increases,” he said. “But up to this point it’s always been very much of a vertical evolution – of course, you expect things like visual fidelity, audio, frame rate. New features such as 3D capability, etc, etc. These things are a given. They come with the new hardware.
“But what I’m really more interested in is other ways of expanding into the next generation – a more horizontal expansion, where you’re going to be doing things online, more of a social aspect. People will be able to interact with the game through various devices, through various media – such as tablets, smart phones, etc.
“I think it’s this new type of interaction – this new way of interacting with the game world – that’s more exciting to me. And I want to bring the Metal Gear franchise into that new wider world of interaction.”

I don’t care what anyone says. Ground Zeros that was shown before was definitely meant for next gen. Kojima can say all he wants but that first demo was running on a PS4 dev kit. I bet $1000. The graphics were just too nice to be running on PS3/360.

@1: Note to self, contact Kojima, make deal with him that he will permanently deny the first demo running on a PS4 dev kit for a 50/50 split of that $1000.

@1, “Kojima can say all he wants but that first demo was running on a PS4 dev kit”
Sorry to dissapoint your fanboy ass, but it was confirmed before that Ground Zeroes demo was running on a PC.

“Attendees were shown a 20 minute Ground Zeroes gameplay demo running on a high-spec PC that remained secret, until now.” (c)
Now, give me my 1000$

“…running on a high-spec PC that remained secret, until now.” Which can absolutely mean PS4 dev-kit because by that time Sony didn’t announced anything. And why not tell the press that it’s running on a high-tec PC? Should they state that it’s a lame and mediocre platform, on which their newest game is running? Think about it.

@5, So they are going to lie that much?
“Which can absolutely mean PS4 dev-kit ”
Dev-Kits are not PC’s. They are just computers and no way Sony will risk their own PS4 devkit for this. It’s not cheap even for Kojima Productions.
PC and Dev Kits are two different things.
Ubisoft lied too when they presented PC version of Watch Dogs in Sony’s PS4 reveal?
cut the crap.

“It’s not cheap even for Kojima Productions.” What?! Yeah, they would totally struggle to get one of those rare dev-kits from Sony, seeing that the Metal Gear franchise is meaningless to them … Sorry but “cut the crap”!

^ I mean that there is no reason for them to show a demo off PS4 dev kit at all when PC is the best platform to show anything.

Congratz, you can link wikipedia. What I was commenting on wasn’t really about the fact that SKD =/= PC =/= Computer but that your argument is pointless because you seem to be missing what manmana was trying to say. What I think he means is that “running on a high-spec PC” meant either a PS4 dev-kit or a PC with similar specs, since they couldn’t mention anything about PS4 at that time.
And the 1st poster can still be somewhat right, I mean, it is possible that KP were showing next gen stuff but couldn’t spill the beans about it so they “trolled” us. We’ll all know more on GDC.
