Capcom producer: "more important" to focus on new IP than reboots

Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata has said Capcom isn't likely to return to Onimusha or Dino Crisis any time soon. "Capcom has obviously never shied away from bringing back our older IPs to new generations, but I do think it's more important for us to focus on creating new IP as we move forward," he told VideoGamer when asked about the fan-favourite properties; Kawata had worked on both. Capcom USA recently surveyed fans about their preferences on the treatment of back-catalogue properties, though.
