Lone Survivor dev’s new project captured on shakycam

Wednesday, 6th February 2013 22:13 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Lone Survivor was a stripped-back psychological survival horror experience, but it didn’t push everyone’s buttons. Creator Jasper Byrne’s proposed effort, New Game+, may correct that, because it looks like you push a lot more buttons as you play. See it in action through the break.

The footage was shot at London Indies and posted today, and it’s a relief to see it, since Bryne had cancelled the project before changing his mind a few weeks later.

New Game+ is described as a mix of Final Fight, Dark Souls and The Legend of Zelda, but in a gorgeous isometric retro skin and boasting four-player co-op. The mode shown in the video is three-player versus.

“but it didn’t push everyone’s buttons”

Lone Survivor was a REAL masterpiece. I really think that if people can look past the 16 bit graphics, the game would get way more attention which is what it deserves. The game had everything well done except for graphics, but people refuse to buy it for that one reason. Anyways, I’m very excited for this, Jasper Byrne is a great person and has a great mind and I can’t wait to play his new game.

Feel free to check out my blog where I’ll also talk more about this game.
