GRID 2 Special Edition and release date announced

Codemasters has announced GRID 2, will release in May on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and also dropped the news that a Special Edition is now available for pre-order.

The Special Edition comes with extra content redeemable digitally, shown in the screenshots below.

Those who pre-order at GAME online or in store can choose the GRID 2: Brands Hatch Edition, which includes two additional packs to expand the game:

McLaren Racing Pack: Receive the exclusive McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition car to race in single-player, multiplayer and a special online event; plus expand the game with two new routes around the Brands Hatch GP circuit.

Head Start Pack: Receive the exclusive Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT car to race in single-player, multiplayer and enjoy discounts in the Car Upgrades Store in online game modes and a unique RaceNet bonus.

GRID 2 launches in the UK on May 31 and in North America on May 28.

    i have gt5, need for speed most wanted, burnout paradise, dirt3… what have this to offer??… NOTHING!. so thanks but no thanks codies.

    and another thing codies, are you also this time gonna have ingames menus. that tell me to buy the missing part of the game, as dlc all over the place again?… it just made me feel like have bought half the game, after i payed the $60. it is a big turn off to get this slapped in my face, when i have just bought a new game on day one, just saying…

    @ ps3fanboy I found that Grid was a better driving experience than all those games you have mentioned.

    Regarding DLC at least the on the PS3 you had the choice of which DLC you could get and you wern’t shortchanged with just a few cars on the 360 or nothing at all on PC. I will be extremely disappointed if this mistake is repeated by Codemasters.
