Path of Exile open beta now live

Come one, come all, anticipated indie action RPG Path of Exile is now open for business. The free-to-play Diabloesque was developed in occasionally sunny Auckland and backed by over $2.6 million in crowdfunding. It boasts of a “gigantic” skill tree, 110 skill gems, randomly generated levels, a persistent online world, crafting, leaderboards in every mode and global PvP tournaments. Sounds hot, right? Grinding Gears convinced us fairly readily. Head on over to the game’s website to get on board, no key required.

Played it for 7 hours straight last night and itching to get back in today, defo the worthy successor to Diablo 2 that Diablo 3 wasn’t and I don’t say that lightly, I can’t believe it’s ftp as well, it’s insane, seriously play this game if you have even a passing interest in this genre.
