Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon multiplayer detailed by Nintendo

Nintendo has announced Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will contain local and online multiplayer as well as Download Play capabilities when it releases in March on 3DS.

The fact that the game contains multiplayer isn’t that much of a secret, but it’s nice to know it’s official.

Up to four players can take on the ScareScraper in Hunter Mode, in which each player controls a different color Luigi and is “challenged to hunt down ghosts and use effective teamwork to clear each floor of the tower before the clock strikes zero.”

Bonuses and upgrades can be earned depending on team performance.

There are also boss battles at the top of each tower, and players can choose the number of floors and adjust the difficulty.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon releases March 24 through retail and the eShop.
