Anarchy Reigns has released in North America

At long last, Platinum’s fighter-shooter Anarchy Reigns has released in North America, after Japan got the goods before anyone else last summer.

Those who pick up the Anarchy Reigns Day One Edition will receive two 2 extra multiplayer modes, as well as an unlockable Bayonetta for both multiplayer and single-player. The edition will be made available only for a limited time.

“We are excited to see the game reaching the Western audience,” said Atsushi Inaba, executive director and producer at Platinum.

“Anarchy Reigns is an ambitious project for PlatinumGames, as we wanted to challenge ourselves by creating a new genre, Multiplayer Brawling. You could play the game as a one-on-one fighter, but Anarchy Reigns truly comes alive when multiplayer characters are locked in chaotic battles. We look forward to global anarchy online once everyone gets a hold of the game.”

Anarchy Reigns is available on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will be released in Australia January 10 and in Europe on January 11.

This game has a lower price point, it retails for £17.99 in most places.
Remember hearing about it ages ago. Didn’t review quite as well as Platinum’s previous efforts. Looks fun though!

too bad im 1 of the 1000 people who are going to buy this -.-
I wish PG games could sell more..

Eurogamer did a review for it previous year. 9/10
And man, just hear the soundtrack. Its awesome! Especially Skitz the Samurida ones.

Damn, so it did. They’ve re-posted the review.

“The games industry loves nostalgia, particularly when it involves something under-appreciated in its own time. The Dreamcast’s posthumous valorisation is like this. And so, criminally, is much of Clover Studio’s finest work – especially God Hand, the daddy of 3D brawlers and a total sales flop. Anarchy Reigns already has this whiff about it, the smell of critical success, commercial failure and subsequent cult status. That’s a damn shame, and much less than this deserves. But the only thing Platinum Games can control is the quality of its product. In Anarchy Reigns, as ever, it is exceptional.”

#8 well it was 33€ but i had -20€ on amazon so i only had to pay 13 xD
