Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner – Soul Hackers getting US release on 3DS

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner – Soul Hackers is known for many things. First, it has a very long name, and second it was never released in the West, while Japanese gamers got to play it on Saturn back in 1997. Well cheer up disgruntled fan, it’s hitting Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2013 courtesy of publisher Atlus.

Atlus is accepting pre-orders now, and Destructoid is reporting that the 3DS build will feature full English localisation. The first-person dungeon crawler will also include 30 new demons, improved 3DS controls, reworked opening cinematics, a new theme song, and more.

There’s no word on a European build yet, but we’ll update if that changes. For now though, drink in these screens:

Had an email this morning about this and thought it was for Europe, Then I realised it was just Atlus crushing my soul again.

Love Shin Megami Tensei so I hope we do eventually get this.
