Black Ops sold 7.5 million copies in November - NPD

NPD has shed some light on sales figures for November releases such as Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed 3, and Halo 4.

Handing the figures over to Gamespot, NPD said Black Ops 2 moved 7.5 million copies in the US for the period, which ended November 24.

The shooter launched on November 13, which means the game accomplished such a large figure in just 11 days.

November's second top seller was Halo 4, which moved 3.2 million units.

Assassin's Creed 3, which although released on October 30 in the region, hit retail after the cut-off period so sales figures for the tile were part of the November report. The Ubisoft game was another hit on the top 10 chart with 2.9 million units moved.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted sold 509,000 units in the US, and also landed in the top 10.

Of course, none of these figures take into account the number of PC units sold, nor sales through digital distribution.
