Crytek approves Timesplitters mod, original assets may be used

Timesplitters 4 may have gone down in flames at the publisher stage, but that doesn’t mean the series is as dead as history itself. Crytek has green-lit a Timesplitters mod, and now Daniel Wesoly – leader of a 100,000-strong Facebook group dedicated to the game is looking for modders to make it a reality.

PCGamesN reports that Wesoly posted on his Facebook page, “I have just had word from Crytek that they are going to permit and support a TimeSplitters CryEngine mod.

“I am now looking for modders that can handle the CryEngine. If I manage to get a group together, then they may let us use assets from the original TimeSplitters game!”
