[Original Story]

In response to the original Witcher game turning five Adam Badowski, head of studio had this to say on the team's official blog:

"Today is the 5 year anniversary of The Witcher series and let me tell you, it’s been an amazing journey. Each year, month, day and hour of the past 5 years has been truly extraordinary and I’m 100% certain that none of The Witcher team members would trade even one of those days away. It has also been a time of hard work and sacrifice but also a time of great satisfaction and massive achievements. We’ve managed to deliver The Witcher and The Witcher 2."

"Back when we had originally started working on our first game, we never imagined that The Witcher would gain so many die-hard fans. The fact that we love what we do kept us going through the greatest obstacles, but we wouldn’t have made it without you guys – the players. I guess I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you who supported us throughout those years. Thank you!"

CD Projekt RED is marking the occasion by holding a community event, in which the Witcher forum's most prominent fans will be invited to visit the studio and party with them. in a message to VG247, a studio rep said, "We are counting down to the 8th Birthday of The Witcher Forum and the event we prepared for our Polish fans in our HQ."

"We’ve always taken our communitiy’s opinions seriously and we want to meet fans, who have been with us almost from the start of our work on The Witcher series. This is one of the ways we want to say “thank you guys for all your support!”.
