Valve adds concept section to Greenlight

A minor update for Greenlight allows users to distinguish between idea pitches and finished games.

The spotlight has been on Valve’s latest addition to its digital distribution platform. Many small developers were disappointed with the $100 charge of pitching their projects. Valve has now ensured concepts are added without the fee.

Expect the platform to receive a number of minor changes in the coming weeks. Although finished products will receive the same deal as before, concept votes are now for developer eyes only.

Thanks, Develop.

I really don’t see how Devs can be annoyed with the $100 fee. 1. It goes to charity, 2. It combats fakes, 3. If the game is actually good and successful then they’ll easily make their money back.
