Medal of Honor: Warfighter publisher EA has revealed three new screens of its shooter – launching October 26th in the UK – and has stated in a blog post that Frostbite 2 is the best FPS engine on out there today.

The blog post – titled ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter, using the best FPS engine out there’ – states:

Medal of Honor Warfighter is set to deliver an awesome experience as the striking visuals and exciting audio plunge you right into the boots of a Tier 1 Operator.

With the Frostbite 2 engine bringing extensive visual detail along with elaborate sound effects, you should be in for the most authentic action and fleshed out scenery, all within real locations from around the world.

Here are some shots that prove the claim, according to the blog:

What do you think about Frostbite 2? Is it indeed the best FPS engine out there, or are there better engines? Discuss below.

@1, First MoH had level with a chopper too so this will have the same mission at some point.

But what’s the big deal anyway when it is arcadish as hell. You want to fly on the helicopter? ArmA III on the horizon.

“the most authentic action…” on your plasma, in your house, on your sofa, eating cheese-puffs.

Played the beta (mp) for this and…. it’s OK. I just don’t have time for anymore fps between bl2, bf3, and blops 2 upcoming. Oh, and I might have to grab halo 4 too, although that’ll probably be after the holidays.

Depends on what you determine as being the best. Personally i think there are better engines for FPS games, and i know a lot of people think FB2 is the best FPS engine, and they are also right. It is a very subjective question :P
Regarding the game itself, i don’t think i’m going to get it. I’ve been playing way to many FPS games in the recent years, and they have just burned me out. Didn’t try the beta, but i did try the alpha, and while it was a solid game, it wasn’t anything spectacular.

Since BF3, I really see no need for any other shooter… That game on Ultra is just unbeatable, its fucking crazy!

Also @ VG247, please get rid of the “More from VG247″ and “More from the Web” bars. THANKS!
