Dishonored Drunken Whaler available for download, remixing

Dishonored’s E3 trailer turned a lot of heads, particularly thanks to its soundtrack – a song called The Drunken Whaler. You can now have this song for your very own. You’re welcome.

The trailer, embedded below, brought a lot of attention to Arkane’s assassination sim; it’s a spin off of the old shanty The Drunken Sailor, created in collaboration with Copilot Strategic Music + Sound. The composers have posted a developer diary of their process, too.

You can now download the original song as an MP3 – for personal, non-commercial use only – and even the stems, for the purposes of remixing.

To that end, Besthesda is hosting a remix contest; if that floats your boat, hit the link and get your entry in before September 28.

Dishonored launches in October on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
