Yes i do believe is an evolution for the asymmetrical gameplay style, thats a new way of interaction in games, it has tons of potentials, like i said you feel fooled because you dont like nintendo or nintendo games in the first place, you are the culprit not nintendo, nintendo games are in the most sold top list this generation, and being only found on wii, comparing with other games on that list that are found in multiple consoles, that indicates that gamers do buy and play wii games.

Again thats your opinion, i dont feel abandoned, this generation i had two metroid, two zeldas, four mario games, wii exclusives from nintendo and third party front, unlike the previous gamecube console, they did surpass my expectations, the controller worked great on those games, so i feel quite happy with the wii, and i can say that an avid gamer, that has not a brand loyalty in their minds, can, and will enjoy the wii and the nintendo games, much as the other games as well, also a failed experiment do not diminish the attempt of the evolution, that is clearly there, the success or fail is in the eyes of the beholder, therefore a very subjective theme.

@45 Oldergamer: Things were different then though. The ps2 was wildly popular at the time. Not saying that Nintendo was skulking in the shadows, but I believe Sony had way more market share (and I could very well be completely wrong). Fast forward to today, (I know the wii has sold more systems) and we see MS and Sony with the more popular systems. There’s no way publishers are going to ignore those systems when they launch. I feel like the wiiU will really need to aggressively try and gain a strong foothold to maintain relevance throughout the console cycle. But, to be honest, I’m intrigued by these: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1523379957/oculus-rift-step-into-the-game or something similar in the future. Edit: I mean how they can be integrated into the experience, to be clear.
