The online gaming behemoth shows support for Amazon’s gaming channel with a host of its free-to-play games.
Bigpoint is looking to explore different formats for its titles, starting with Amazon Game Connect.
“We are helping Amazon build its content on Game Connect,” said head of business development Ed Kim. “They are a very large distribution channel and can target users quite well thanks to their e-commerce site.”
Game Connect links an Amazon user’s account to the free-to-play games they spend time with. By doing this, credit card transactions become more secure and easier to execute. Bigpoint’s first two games to arrive on the outlet will be Battlestar Galactica Online and Drakensang Online.
“I believe they are very serious about gaming, they are showing a lot of commitment.”
Last month Bigpoint closed its mobile development business. The company is now planning to host its titles on Steam.
“Our goal is to have our games anywhere there is a browser.”
